INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 lb unsalted butter
- 1 lb powdered sugar (450g)
- 1 tbsp cornstarch (or pudding mix)
- 1 tbsp whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
FROSTING
Make sure all ingredients are room temperature, especially butter
- Cream butter in stand mixer until creamy.
- Add whipping cream, cornstarch, salt — don’t overmix.
- Add the powdered sugar in two batches — don’t overmix.
- Add vanilla and mix well.
- Check consistency and add more cream or sugar as needed.
total mixing time should not exceed 5 minutes
